The cafeteria of our college is much more that a place where students gather at noon time. To start with, we must mention that the Collège de Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière has its own food-services staff. These experienced employees work every day to satisfy the appetites of the students who attend our school and need a noon-hour meal. In addition, they are present morning and evening for our boarders. Two other smaller cafeterias play host each day to other adult residents, to the staff of the college and to numerous working people of the region who, because of the homey atmosphere and the quality of the food, return day after day to have a family-style meal at noon. Our school has also perfected an ingenious system using a money card that allows students to pay for their food item by item without having to worry each day about bringing money for their noon-hour meal.
We make our cafeteria service available to numerous social clubs, organizations and associations who request it. For meals ranging from a simple dinner to a gastronomic banquet worthy of the name, we welcome, from one year to the next, no less than 12 000 one-day visitors.
