Very simply because our college is a good school!

Our students will probably talk to you about the friends they have here, the activities in which they can take part. Our parents, on the other hand, will emphasize the support given to the students and the quality of the teaching that we provide. But we could also talk about the excellent rate of success of our students and publish, in support of this, the official results of the Ministry of Education.

The reason, as we see it, is probably a combination of all of these criteria. We feel that a good school is characterized, above all, by its ability to incite each of its students to go further than they may have thought they could, and to discover how far their abilities can take them. Our goals are to have the students measure themselves in terms of themselves, to see them progress and become better, without necessarily being the best.

What is a good school? It is a school which, even after 175 years, continues to offer an educational formation of high caliber to all its students no matter what their financial situation.

The Collège de Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière is prepared to admit to a regular secondary school program any student who has passed grade 6, and despite this open admissions policy, our school maintains a success rate comparable to that of many schools in urban areas which must refuse up to 50% of admission requests because of a lack of space. While we are perhaps not the foremost school, we are definitely a school which because of its steadfastness, perseverance and generosity contributes to the development of our society. You be the judge!
